Rev. Dr. Gerald McDermott, teaching pastor

Fr Gerry joined the CTK staff in 2015 and was appointed as Teaching Pastor in 2017.  He is the Anglican Chair of Divinity at Beeson Divinity School, where he teaches history and doctrine plus Anglican studies.  He and Jean have three grown sons and eleven grandchildren.

Ben Williams, Church Administrator

Ben joined the CtK team in January 2018 and is an M.Div. student at Beeson Divinity School. He served his previous church as a worship leader and lay minister, while working as a freelance graphic designer. He and his wife Janie have four rowdy boys. Ben is currently pursuing ordination as a priest in the ACNA.

Rev. Daniel Logan, Deacon

Daniel Logan has been a member of Christ the King since 2012. He graduated from Beeson Divinity School with a Master of Divinity degree in December 2016 and was ordained a deacon in May 2017. Daniel lives with his bride, Laura, and their two children, Jack and Charlotte, in Hoover and would love to have you over for dinner.

Rev. Tyler Kerley, Deacon

Tyler was ordained to the diaconate at Christ the King in February. He primarily assists with CtK’s local outreach projects at Brother Bryan Mission and Brookdale Senior Care. He will be (Lord willing!) graduating from Beeson Divinity School with an M.Div in December.

Children's Ministers

Chrissy Coblentz

Chrissy has attended CtK since 2012 and has been on the Children's Ministry team since the fall of 2015. She is married to her high school sweetheart and they have three children. Chrissy loves to kayak, hike, decorate cakes, attend concerts, and work on small wood projects in her workshop.

Hannah Francis

Hannah is extremely grateful to serve the children at CtK and has been the Children's Ministry Coordinator since 2015. Hannah is also the Financial Controller at Mason Music and is married to Drew Francis. They have two children, Lincoln and Sawyer.

Jarrod Hill

Jarrod Hill has attended Christ the King since 2012. He was recently married in May of 2018 to Rachel and plans to graduate from Beeson Divinity School in December of 2019. Jarrod plans to pursue ordination in ACNA.

Luke Miller

Luke is an M.Div. student at Beeson Divinity School. Prior to coming to Beeson, Luke worked for a church plant in Charleston, WV. He also holds a master’s degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Luke joined the CtK team in January 2018.

Emily Hall

Emily first came to Christ the King when she began the M.Div program at Beeson Divinity School in Fall 2017. Before that, she studied applied linguistics and biblical languages at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. It was also in Chicago that she first found a home in an ACNA church. She was born and raised just north of Seattle and loves the various places she has called home thus far, but she ultimately hopes to go into Bible translation once all of her studies are complete.

Rev. Dr. Lyle Dorsett

Fr. Lyle and his wife, Mary, planted Christ the King Anglican Church on November 25, 2007 (Christ the King Sunday). He joined the faculty of Beeson Divinity School as the Billy Graham Professor of Evangelism in 2005. Dr. Dorsett retired from CtK in the summer 2017 and from Beeson Divinity School after the fall semester of the same year.
