Worship Service: 10:00am
Children's Church/Sunday School: 10:00am
During the first part of the Sunday service, children from six months through second grade take part in Children's Church or enjoy the calm and blessing of the nursery. Babies and toddlers remain in the nursery for this hour.
Children from age three through second grade have Children's Church, which is a special time of group worship that includes singing, prayer, and the hearing of Scripture read to them. The children then divide into classes where the Scripture lesson is reviewed and reinforced through a craft time and the retelling of the central theme of the day.
During The Peace which follows the Confession in the main service, parents bring their children into the sanctuary so that the whole family can be together for Communion and the blessing of young children. Christ the King believes that our children need to see and hear the sacred drama acted and spoken because young children have an amazing ability to understand and accept important spiritual truths. The children are considered an important part of our church family and the adult members value their presence with us.
