Worshipping God in Spirit, Word, and Sacrament
All Saints Day is a day to remember those faithful Christians who have gone before us. To commemorate our 11th year as a church, Rev. Dr. Timothy George, Dean of Beeson Divinity School, who has graciously hosted our Sunday morning gatherings, preaches on Revelation 7:9-17.
The blind man, Bartimaeus, sought Jesus for healing and found him. When Jesus healed him, he told him, “Go your way…” Mark tells us that Bartimaeus then followed Jesus “on the way.” Likewise, Christians are to seek, find, and follow Jesus, not just once, but over and over again. Listen to Rev. Michael Novotny’s homily “Seek, Find, Follow, Repeat.”
What does it mean for God’s Word to be living and active? We often agree with the writer of Hebrews while practically doubting the vitality of God’s Word. This week, Rev. Michael Novotny expounds on Hebrews 4:12-16 and how God’s living word can pierce us all.
