Our Service…
…consists of Word and Sacrament as the church’s worship has for over 2,000 years. We preach the Holy Scriptures unashamedly and receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion every Sunday. Service begins at 10:00am.
How to Participate
Sunday morning worship is not about entertainment. It’s not a work solely for the clergy and musicians. Worship involves all of God’s children.
The congregation is involved through responsive reading, singing, sitting, standing and kneeling. Don’t feel intimidated. Between the instructions in the order of service, the priest, and friendly parishioners, you won’t have trouble following along.
During Holy Communion (often called Eucharist) any/all baptized persons may receive. Simply come forward, hold out both hands (right resting over left). If you don’t wish to receive you are encouraged to come forward, simply crossing your arms over your chest, to receive a blessing at the communion rails.
What to Wear
Some dress “to the nines” and others are much more casual (jeans, etc). We simply ask that whatever your style, it is modest enough for worship.
Children
Jesus said “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God (Mark 10:14).” Our church is full of children of all ages and we care deeply about their formation in the faith.
During the first part of the service all children from 6 months to 8 years of age begin in the Education Building. Those not in the nursery go through a kids’ version of our Sunday morning liturgy.
At the passing of The Peace, parents pick up all their children and bring them in for Holy Communion.
